Lots of people report that there are some SSL problems. We should check this out.
I'm suspecting python bump caused this, but we should check, and propose a workardound ?

Things to check:

  • is it nix related
  • is it a real regression from 3.X
  • was this python 2.7.X bump
  • could we make a simple workaround addind some SSL certificate flags etc.

I believe we got this sorted by addind the new SSL flag to control, at least it was confirmed working by 1 user.
