Redmine RhodeCode CE/EE - Bug #5621 (Resolved): LDAP + User Groups authentication plugin not working afte...https://issues.rhodecode.com/issues/56212020-06-15T05:42:55ZMichael Davis

After upgrading our RhodeCode EE server to 4.19.3, the LDAP + User Groups authentication plugin no longer works for us. I get "invalid username/password" errors when trying to log in with an LDAP account. If I switch the server to the regular LDAP plugin, it works fine with the same settings.

The problem appears to have first occurred in 4.19.0. I tested this by updating a copy of our server from 4.18.3 (where the LDAP + Groups authentication plugin worked) to 4.19.0 (where it did not).

I see this error in the log file when the authentication failure occurs:

2020-06-14 22:24:16.746 [15542] INFO [rhodecode.authentication.base] Authenticating user `mdavis` using egg:rhodecode-enterprise-ee#ldap_group plugin

RhodeCode CE/EE - Bug #5436 (Resolved): Unable To Open Pull Request in 4.11.2https://issues.rhodecode.com/issues/54362018-02-09T17:41:52ZPeter Rebholz

I upgraded our testing environment to 4.11.2 in order to see if issue #5414 was addressed. I'm unable to successfully open a pull request as there are a few issues in the way:

When selecting a commit from the Changelog and clicked "open new pull request for selected commit", the source ref field is not set with the commit/bookmark I selected on the Changelog page

I can't appear to ever select a target revision. It's always blank and clicking on it does not display a drop down.

I noticed an error in the JS console that prints once initially and whenever I change the target repository: TypeError: selectedRef is null. My initial thought was maybe a browser caching issue but after clearing my cache, that doesn't seem to address the issue.

RhodeCode CE/EE - Bug #5414 (New): When Opening New Pull Request, Target Revision Default Is Unde...https://issues.rhodecode.com/issues/54142018-01-12T22:28:55ZPeter Rebholz

Version Info:

RhodeCode 4.10.6 Enterprise Edition
CentOS 7
PostgreSQL 10.1

Issue:

We're testing out upgrading to 4.10.6 from a fairly old version and hit a snag that is going to keep us from upgrading. When opening a new pull request for a Hg repository, initiated from the Changelog screen, the default target revision is particularly poor for our workflow/use case. We're seeing it default to the
default
branch or, in repositories where the
default
branch is closed, the very first revision of the repository. It takes a really long time for RhodeCode to count every commit from the beginning of time to the present and further, if you change the branch while it's working, you get a browser alert dialog (see attached).

This has a significant impact on our workflow as every user is going to hit this every time they try and open a pull request. We use bookmarks as the source revision for pull requests so and are usually requesting things be merged into the same branch, thus the best default for us would be the same branch. However, having no default would be preferable to the wrong default and a long processing time + error pop-up.

The only workaround I have found is initiating the pull request from the pull requests page and setting the target revision before setting the source revision. This isn't a great work around.
